For it to be the semi-embarrassing moment that it was, Allen Iverson’s “Practice? We talkin bout practice?!” press conference is one of my favorite times with him as a Sixer. I remember listening to it live as I drove up Haverford Avenue. And now it has a remix, along with some other classic moments from other press conferences.

Speaking of the NBA, teams are making moves. The Cavs picked up Shaq. Think I’m not excited about that. If Anderson Varejao can move his feet like I think he can, he never has to think about playing offense again, just be a defensive monster in the four spot. Udonis Haslem has a ring because he was able to cover the pick man in the pick’n'roll until Shaq could get back to him after showing on the dribbler. And if Varejao is not up to it, they need to find someone who is. The Cavs need an offensive assistant coach with some imagination.
Vince to the Magic…that could be exciting. Vince has quietly been balling up there. This is another chance for him to run wild in the spotlight. I’m not exactly sure I didn’t want the Magic to keep Skip, though. But if Vince is still a baller like I think he is, they’re gonna be a tough out next summer.
Didn’t need Skip and Jameer. I think Van Gundy did his team a disservice the way he deployed his guards. Perhaps he was thinking it will be better in the future to get Jameer some finals experience now, but Alston had been known to pout. But Howard has to improve his offense from that rudimentary stuff he does now. With Shaq, the Cavs wouldn’t have to double team Howard, and all the other defenders can stay home.
The Suns are talking about sending Amare to the Warriors. San Antone got Jefferson and Dujuan Blair from Pitt, as long as they keep Parker (I heard rumors) they should be right back to challenge.
I LOVE this press conference. Have you heard J-Live’s song that samples it?
no! do you have a link to it, or the title?
