I have to go with EPMD.
OutKast is good, although I think over-rated. But straight up, I go with EPMD but not their last one where they got together again for the cheddar.

yeah, i think i’m with EPMD too, but not by much. i think Dre 3K and Big Boi are definitely better lyricists, and i am actually pretty high on their production….i think my preference for EPMD is probably 2/3 nostalgia and 1/3 loving The Funk.

I think for pure hip-hop, you have to go with EPMD.
