Read full description of the books Wild Mountain Thyme:lots of stupidly overdone and very strange Drama, horrendes Male Lead that kidnaps a 2 year old without anyone calling the police and a complete push over as the main female lead - for my first book by the author I think I could not have chosen a worse one!
I was told by a handful of people that I just have to read a Pilcher book because I would just love her....
I am guessing this book was NOT was those people meant for me to read since this was NOT my personal reading taste - at all!!
I hate weak female leads especially those that are constantly doing things that makes the reader want shake the character to see I maybe the little bit of spine might snap into place with enough force!
Victoria was one of the worst characters I read about for a good long while!
she wasn't only going along with something that she clearly didn't think was right but she also did not do anything at all to at least help an innocent child!
also who will be stupid enough to let a man that left you before walk all over you once again when he comes hot of no where?!??
let's just not talk about Oliver -the main man- because I will get mad and I light scream so let's just NOT go there!!
let's also not really talk about the amount of alcohol that especially Oliver drank during times where no alcohol should be served or drank!!
I can not for the life of me understand why no one in this book thought to actually tell the police a child was taken away from his home! or that why the heck the grandparents didn't try to find him or get him back in any form!!
all in all?
so not my type of plot or characters! so clearly not my type of book at all!
can't say i would recommend this bio. because this entire thing was unrealistically stupid.
still Pilcher must have more and actually good things to offer right??
I am giving her another chance but this book was not good at all!
